Five Waxahachie Breakfast Spots We Love

5 breakfast hot spots

By I am a mom/grandma (Lovie) and always looking for ways to share insight. November 15, 2024

My kids and my husband love to go out to breakfast in Waxahachie on a weekend morning. I can't say I often tell them no.

After all, what’s not to love about breakfast? No matter what kind of breakfast you’re in the mood for -- the sweet or the savory -- you can find it in Waxahachie.

Plus … breakfast has bacon!

Hungry for breakfast in Waxahchie yet?

I am! So I've rounded up my family's choices for the top five breakfast spots in the Waxahachie area, along with the reasons that my family loves them. I've listed them in alphabetical order:

Butter & Grace

1585 N Hwy 77 Waxahachie, TX 75165.  214-980-1679

Hours: Open for breakfast and lunch only. Mon-Sat 6am-3pm Sunday 7am-3pm

What we love: This is a Gem when talking about breakfast. They have a "Healthier" menu, including Yogurt parfait, multi grain granola cakes, Turkey sausage, fresh fruit, and avocado toast just to name a few. The omelet selection is almost unlimited, if you can imagine it, it is probably an option. On the "general" breakfast menu, you will find Southern Classic, B.O.B., Breakfast tacos, Chilaquiles, to name a few.

Celebrity Cafe & Bakery

115 E Franklin St Waxahachie, TX 75165  469-550-0461

Hours: Closed on Mondays. 7:30am-2:30pm Breakfast and Lunch only.

What we love: The biscuits and gravy are are so delicious, you will want an endless helping. Omlets are ginormous and melt in your mouth. Now let's talk CINNAMON ROLLS, they make a 12" x 12" (give or take) cinnamon roll that is enough to fill up any crew. The fresh brewed coffee hits the spot to conquer any day too.

Country Cafe

217 US 77 Waxahachie TX 75165  972-923-0214

Hours: This is Breakfast and lunch only, Mon - Sat 6:30am-2pm

What we love: This is one of the mom & pop places that has been open as long as I can remember. Each meal is cooked just the way you ordered it. One necessity you will need to bring is your patience. Because this is one of our Go To breakfast spots, there is normally a wait as seating is limited but I promise, it is worth the wait. Once you get your food, you will be taken back to "granny's house" on the weekends.

Fresh Market Coffee

501 S Rogers St

Hours: Open daily from 7am-8pm

What we love: This is the perfect quaint place to meet the girls for coffee and breakfast or enjoy this with your significant other, they have an outdoor seating area with swings as the "chairs" that the kiddos would love to experience. The coffee menu stays up to date and current with the seasons. Their pastries and breakfast sandwiches are clearly made with lots of love, they are so good.

Two Amigos

241 Monroe St Waxahachie, TX 75165.  972-923-3305

Hours: Mon-Sat open 7am-9pm Sunday 8am-3pm

What we love: Who doesn't love Breakfast tacos or burritos? Chorizo and Egg, bacon and egg, with add ons like avocado, cheese and/or sour cream. Not to mention their amazing salsa. The breakfast burritos are enough for at least 2 adults to eat on, if not more. The homemade tortillas are to die for and only add that home cooked element to any of their breakfast options.

Hungry yet? Me too. Time for breakfast.
